Welcome to Halisamo Marine Workshop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our marine repair services and website. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Important: Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

Service Agreement

When you request our marine repair services, you enter into a binding service agreement with Halisamo Marine Workshop. All work is performed according to industry standards and Malaysian maritime regulations.

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Marine diesel engine repair and overhaul
  • Trawler equipment maintenance and servicing
  • Emergency marine repairs and support
  • Parts supply and installation

Pricing and Payment

Service quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing may vary based on actual work required and parts availability. Payment terms are net 30 days for commercial accounts, with payment due immediately for emergency services.

We accept payment by bank transfer, company check, or cash. A 10% surcharge applies to overdue accounts beyond 45 days.

Warranty and Liability

We provide a 12-month warranty on all repair work and 6 months on parts supplied. Our liability is limited to the cost of the original repair service. We are not responsible for consequential damages, lost fishing time, or vessel downtime beyond our direct control.

Emergency Services: Emergency repairs are provided on a best-effort basis. Response times may vary due to weather, location, and parts availability.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate vessel information and service history
  • Ensure safe working conditions at repair locations
  • Remove valuable items and personal belongings before service
  • Provide access to electrical power and water as needed
  • Comply with all safety regulations and port requirements

Cancellation Policy

Service appointments may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a service call fee. Emergency service calls cannot be cancelled once our technicians are dispatched.

Safety and Compliance

All work is performed in accordance with Malaysian Department of Marine safety standards and international maritime regulations. Customers must ensure their vessels meet minimum safety requirements for our technicians to perform work.

Intellectual Property

All technical documentation, repair procedures, and proprietary methods used by Halisamo Marine Workshop remain our intellectual property. Customers may not reproduce or distribute our technical materials without written permission.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through mediation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under Malaysian law. Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution before pursuing legal action.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
